Donate Prescription Eyeglasses & Reading Glasses
Bring any prescription eyeglasses and reading glasses to donate to the Lions Club where their volunteers clean the glasses, fix them, sort them by prescription strength and package them. The glasses are then distributed through non profits to those in need, mainly in developing countries.
Donate gently used or new books for Books Between Kids
Books Between Kids provides books to children in Houston ISD to build their home collection of books to encourage reading and access.
Needs: New and Like-New Pre-K through 5th-grade level reading:
story books, chapter books, leveled readers, children’s non-fiction books (that kids would pick out to read for fun), board/toddler books, Spanish or dual language books
Books we cannot use: books with torn binding, pages or covers, discolored pages, religious books, workbooks, coloring books, sticker books, puzzle books, reference books, textbooks, or outdated non-fiction books
E-cycling with CompuCycle: bring electronics that are no longer working or unwanted.
